Health Education and Outreach

Culturally appropriate Lectures, Information, Workshops in English and Creole on cancer prevention, diabetes, heart disease, health screenings, treatment and healthy lifestyle choices presented in various settings such as:
· Small or Large Group Classes
· Heath Fairs
· Church Outreach
· Adult Education Schools


HEPP provides information to community members seeking information on accessing and navigating the health system in both English and Creole.

HEPP supports the Support Program for Haitians with Cancer through our funders, donations, and volunteers.  The support group meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month at Jackson North Medical Center 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A new support group in the Homestead area will start in November 2018.  For information or referrals please contact Pascale Denis, LMHC, at 305-209-6175.


HEPP refers uninsured and underinsured men and women for Free or low cost life-saving preventative screening tests including mammogram and clinical breast exam through our community health screening partners. Free health screening is made possible through grants and donations

HEPP provides case management and care coordination to all clients with abnormal screening exams. HEPP provides patient navigation for follow up care, treatment and support in collaboration with other community organizations
